Purpose
This policy encourages employees, customers, volunteers, board members, and stakeholders to report concerns regarding suspected misconduct without fear of retaliation.
Reportable Concerns
Concerns may include, but are not limited to:
- Fraud or financial misconduct
- Misuse of organizational funds
- Violations of laws or regulations
- Gross mismanagement
- Abuse of authority
- Ethical violations
Internal Reporting to SSF
Concerns related to Second Spring Farms operations, finances, safety, or conduct may be reported confidentially and anonymously to SSF leadership.
Reports should include as much detail as possible to allow for proper review.

External Reporting for SNAP/EBT Fraud
We take SNAP/EBT fraud very seriously. Those programs have limited funds and are intended for individuals with specific needs and are to be used for specific food items. Individuals may also choose to report suspected fraud or misuse of public benefits directly to the appropriate government authorities, including SNAP/EBT program administrators.
Reporting externally is always an option and does not require prior internal reporting. Reports should include as much detail as possible to allow for proper review.

No Retaliation
Retaliation against individuals who report concerns in good faith is strictly prohibited. Any retaliatory action will result in disciplinary measures.
Investigation
All reports will be reviewed promptly and objectively. Confidentiality will be maintained to the fullest extent possible.
